The challenges at the early stage might be:

Students will likely never have heard about Native Americans before. The words and culture will be completely new to them.

Possible solutions

• The teacher should keep emphasizing that the correct way of learning a second language;
• To have a well-organized plan for the students;
• To require students to make suitable study plans; and guide them to follow it step by step;
• To be strict on students of the standard of class requirement and homework;
• To have a popular teaching methodology and interesting materials to spur students’ interest in reading;
